Hi!

I am Alex. Thank you for being here! I'm passionate about wellness, self-care, overcoming fears and challenges, and living an intentional, joyful, and empowered life. It's my greatest joy to facilitate others in living their best lives. As you have likely gathered by now, I'm a Birth and Postpartum Doula as well as a Photographer, Massage Therapist, and Yoga Teacher. I love being of service in a multitude of ways.

I'm passionate about birth, death, and everything in between. I was inspired to become a doula a few years after giving birth to my son. When I gave birth in 2008, I had never heard of a "doula". It wasn't until I became aware of my own birth trauma that I discovered that birth doulas existed. I immediately signed up for a training and started attending births in 2013. A few years later, I learned about postpartum doulas and instantly immersed myself in that work.
I have spent most of my life as a caregiver. I have experience caring for humans of all ages; newborns, children, new moms and dads, as well as elders! As a Postpartum Doula, I have worked with more than 40 families. I have had the honor of attending approximately 18 births as a birth doula and photographer. I have had the privilege of being present for a couple of deaths, as well.

I believe that birth is a sacred right of passage and that each experience impacts the birthing person for their entire life and sets the stage for parenthood. My intention as a doula is to facilitate the birthing person in connecting with their innate wisdom so that they can have the best birthing experience and outcome. My hope is for parents to feel informed and unconditionally supported throughout their journey so that they can welcome their baby into the world with deep love and move into parenthood with confidence.

Although part of my role is to offer evidence-based information and education, know that you will always be met with compassion and non-judgmental support. I trust that you know yourself and your family better than anyone and I respect that above all.

It is truly an honor to do this work. Childbirth is a transformative experience, and I am so grateful to the parents and families who choose me to assist them in bringing their children into this world. Thank you a million times for trusting in me and allowing me to be a part of your story.

With Gratitude,

Alex
